MM Tabi slingback sandals

Maison Margiela’s Tabis are well regarded among the contemporary fashion set – but did you know that the iconic style has a long history behind it? First launched for the House’s debut collection in 1989, the style’s split toe – thought to promote balance – is inspired by the traditional 15th-century Japanese sock of the same name. Here, it’s celebrated with these mules, crafted from worn-treatment leather with handmade folds for a considered finish.
